ABOUT AMBER
Growing up between the hills of San Francisco and the streets of Europe, I developed an eye for design that crosses continents. Each summer spent with my Dutch and Italian families shaped my aesthetic sensibilities, blending West Coast freedom with European craftsmanship.
Salt? Yes. The name came naturally to me. “Salt of the earth” was a phrase I heard throughout my childhood, representing something fundamentally good, honest, and essential. That’s exactly what I wanted my bridal creations to embody.
My education at the California College of Arts & Crafts equipped me with the technical skills and artistic vision to transform fabric into something magical. But it’s the one-on-one connection with each bride that truly brings my work to life. I chose to focus exclusively on custom bridal because there’s something irreplaceable about sitting with someone, listening closely, and teasing out the elements that will make their dress uniquely theirs. Whether that’s custom indigo shibori dyed fabrics or Americana chain link embroideries my goal is to collaborate.
I believe a wedding dress should do more than just look beautiful in photographs. It should encapsulate your future while honoring your past. It should make you feel like the most confident version of yourself. A Salt bride doesn’t just wear her dress! Nope! She inhabits it, moves freely in it, celebrates in it.
Your wedding dress is perhaps the most personal garment you’ll ever wear. Working together to create it should feel just as special as the moment you first put it on.
